Uganda Youth and Adolescents Health Forum (UYAHF)

On Thursday 18th June 2015 UYAHF in partnership with UNFPA-Uganda, Voice Africa Future/ Action/2015 Campaign Uganda and the Kampala Capital City Authority held a Post Day of the African Child Community Dialogue on Ending Child Marriages and Sexual Exploitation among young women in slum areas of Kampala. The event that attracted over 150 young women and boys of ages 15-27 years who are affected and are victims of child marriages, teenage pregnancies, sexual exploitation and gender based violence, discussed the increasing burden of early child marriages and teenage pregnancies and steps to put communities at the forefront to end these social and cultural barriers that have robbed young women of their future and a chance to fulfill their potential.
